It is with heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the passing of Leah Alison Morin (Kantimere), of Ste. Genevieve, MB., on Monday, February 5, 2024, after a very short but courageous battle with cancer.
Leah is survived by her husband Mike, children Austin (Lexi) and Saydee, her grandchildren Ryder and Madelynn, her mother Debra (Gary), parents-in-law Lenard & Valarie, grandmother Jean Morin, her sister Ashley (Danny), their son Cole and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her father Michael Kantimere in 2019.
Leah was born in Winnipeg, MB., and was raised in Rosa her entire childhood. She entered the workforce right out of high school and was always one of the most loyal, well respected and committed employees at any company that was lucky enough to have her as part of their team.
Family was so important to Leah which was evident in the way she raised her family, most recently the way she showed the overwhelming love she had for her two precious grandbabies. She treasured spending time with them any chance she could get.
In 2013, Mike and Leah bought their cabin in Bissett and this is where their time was spent together. In the multiple snap chats Leah would send daily you would find them either on the lake fishing or partying with friends. It was their happy place.
Leah had the most relaxed approach to life, taking it all in stride. We will miss her beautiful smile, her infectious laughter and warm hugs.
With respect to her wishes, cremation has taken place.
The livestreamed memorial service for Leah Morin (Kantimere) will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.
