In loving memory of Elizabeth Matozi Nhlazane, who passed away suddenly on February 22, 2024, at Bethesda Place, at the age of 79 years. She is predeceased by her parents, Phineas and Lesiah Dlamini. She leaves to mourn her husband Aaron and their two sons Timothy and Stephen. Elizabeth will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her immediate family, extended family in South Africa, friends who are family in Steinbach, and the loving staff at the PCH.
Elizabeth was born in Soweto, South Africa on September 12, 1944, as the 4th of 8 siblings. Her and Aaron were married on August 6, 1976, in their home township of Soweto. She pursued nursing and received her RN from Baragwanath Hospital in Johannesburg. Elizabeth worked as a healthcare aid at Bethesda Place for her entire career upon moving to Canada with Aaron in 1978. She had a tremendous passion for serving the Lord and had a deep connection to the Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church. She served as a Sunday School teacher and enjoyed serving God as one of the leaders of Pioneer Girls at the church. She loved singing praise and worship songs on Sunday morning and took her love of singing with lifelong friends to the Rest Haven Care Home. Residents and care home staff were always drawn to her enthusiasm with getting everyone involved.
The Celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be held on Monday March 4, 2024, 2:00pm, at Crossings Funeral Care located at 12E-40 North Gate Drive in Steinbach, Manitoba.
A special thank you goes out to all the staff working in Prairie Rose at Bethesda Place for their exceptional care.
