Anna Neufeld, wife to Jacob, our Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2024, after a lengthy battle with cancer, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She went to be with her beloved Saviour Jesus, at the age of 82, surrounded by family.
Anna was born in Colony Menno, Paraguay on December 14th, 1941.
She is survived by her husband Jacob of 62 years, four sons, Adolf (Lina), Rudolf (Roswitha), Oskar (Elfriede), Vernon (Christina), 10 grandchildren Eliane (Henry), Eveline (Joris): Robert (Tanja), Tabea: Joel, Kirsten: Alexandra, Natalia (Tyson), Sophia, Sarah, and four great-grandchildren: Mia, Levi, Asher, and Nick.
She was predeceased by her parents Diedrich and Katharina Friesen, and four siblings.
She always enjoyed work of various kinds and retired at 65. In her retirement she enjoyed volunteering at the MCC Thrift Store making blankets for the less fortunate. She also enjoyed planting a large garden and giving away a lot of the produce, vacations to sunny destinations, and fishing together with family and friends. Her greatest passion, next to her faith, was lavishing love and good food on her family. She especially loved to spoil her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed life to the fullest.
Anna peacefully went to be with Jesus, whom she served and loved wholeheartedly. She had faith in her Saviour Jesus Christ who she now sees face to face.
The livestreamed funeral service will be held on Monday, March 18, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Springfield Heights Mennonite Church, Winnipeg, MB, with viewing one hour prior to the service.
The interment will take place at Glen Eden Cemetery, West Saint Paul, MB following the service.
