Loreen grew up in Carrie, MB., on a farm. She was the sixth of ten children. Loreen moved to Brandon, MB., many years ago where she worked as a dietary aide at Victoria Landing before she retired in 2021.
In 2021 Loreen moved to Steinbach, so she can be closer to her children as she had a hard journey with battling stage 4 kidney disease and stage 4 lymphoma cancer.
Loreen’s cancer had gone into remission in September 2023, her children had a live life party to celebrate and because Loreen was a true fan of Elvis Presley, Corny Rempel was the entertainment at the celebration as he played Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley impersonation.
Loreen was so overjoyed to have such pleasure being part of the Elvis Presley entertainment that Corny Rempel had done.
There will be no funeral as that was not what Loreen’s wishes were. The family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
