Obituary

David Waldner, age 72, of Steinbach, MB., peacefully went to be with Lord on Friday, April 19, 2024, a short time after sharing the love of Jesus with a nurse.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and Pastor.

David was born on February 8th, 1952, in Bonhomme Colony. He was one of 14 children born of Joseph and Maria Waldner.

David met the love of his life in Rosedale colony in 1970. They later married on the sunny winter day of February 13th, 1972. They recently celebrated 52 beautiful years together.

The couple settled in Newdale Colony and had four children together, Kathy, Marian, Thelma and Tommy. In 1985, along with their young children, they left the colony and settled in rural Steinbach, MB.

In 1986, Dave started Reaching Out Ministries in a home in Landmark. Since then his little church has expanded to a variety of radio stations and YouTube, and has recently settled in the Country Loft near Friedensfeld, MB.

David was predeceased by his daughter Marian, his parents Joseph and Maria, along with 10 brothers and sisters.

Dave is survived by his wife Anna, his children Kathy (James), Thelma (Robert) and Tommy. His grandchildren Alexandria and Brandon (Kathy and James), Melissa (Marian and Raymond), Madelyne and Gabriel (Thelma and Robert). As well as his two great-grandchildren, Karsyn (Alexandria and Lance) and Elliana (Melissa and Adam), and three siblings.

Aside from his wife and children, Pastor Dave loved his grandchildren, hunting and most importantly Jesus. Much of his life was spent telling people about the gift of salvation. There wasn’t a person he crossed paths with that he didn’t share the love of Christ with.

The public viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 7:00 p.m., with a devotional to follow at 7:30 p.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 2:00 p.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.
