Goldie Anne Wiebe, age 87 of Niverville, MB., passed away surrounded by family after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at De Salaberry District Health Centre in St. Pierre-Jolys, MB.
Goldie is survived by her husband Neil and their children Pat & Rob Willis, Wes & Jackie Wiebe, Laurna & Imre Kelemen, her sister Evelyn Rempel, sister-in-laws Susan & Henry Funk and Linda Kliewer. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Chris & Melanie Willis, Aaron & Meaghan Kelemen, Bobby Wiebe, Reece & Katrina Kelemen, Tyler Wiebe & Ellen, bonus grandson Justin LeBlanc & Colleen, and three great-grandchildren, Robert Willis, Charlie Willis and Ryker Kelemen.
She was predeceased by infant son Robert, her Mom & Dad, Eva (Leppky) & George Kliewer, and brothers Peter, George, Allan and Johnny and brother-in-law Henry Rempel and sister-in-law Leona Kliever.
Goldie was born and raised in the Niverville area where she met and married her husband of almost 68 years Neil Wiebe. Mom spent the majority of her working life cooking for the hired men at the farms where Dad worked as the foreman. She loved to read, cook, play cards and always ensued there was enough food at the table for whomever dropped in close to mealtime. Goldie was a home body who enjoyed time with her family and friends.
The Celebration of Life will be held on Friday September 20th, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Niverville United Church, 55 1st Street North, Niverville, MB.
