Olga Alice Yaremchuk Mazur, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the age of 84 years, at River East Personal Care Home in Winnipeg, MB.
Olga was born on July 31, 1940, in Stuartburn, MB., to Nicholas and Stella Yaremchuk. She lived on the family farm in Sundown, MB., with her brothers Maurice, William (Bill), and Raymond (Bob).
Olga attended Ridgeland and Sundown Schools.
Olga married Charles (Charlie) Mazur on September 23, 1961, and resided in Winnipeg where they raised their four children Donna, Kenneth (Bob), Gregory and Judy.
Olga’s passions were spending time at the farm in Brokenhead, MB., gardening, pickling, baking but most of all was making perogies for all of her family to enjoy. Mom (Baba) could have easily been in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most perogies made by her in a day.
Olga was predeceased by her husband Charlie, parents Nicholas & Stella Yaremchuk, brother Bill & sister-in-law Linda Yaremchuk and brother Maurice Yaremchuk.
Olga is survived by her children: Donna (Tod) Andrus, Bob (Jackie) Mazur, Greg Mazur, Judy (Jason) Kerr; grandchildren: Caitlin (Josh) Amodeo, Cade Andrus, Tyler Kerr, Hayden and Sophie Mazur, great-grandchildren: Abby and Brandon Amodeo; brother Bob Yaremchuk; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest at Ridgeland Cemetery, Sundown, MB., at a later date.
Mom (Baba) you have left a footprint in our hearts and you will never be forgotten.
