Obituary

It’s with sadness that we announce on Saturday morning, November 23, 2024, the passing of Gisèle Courcelles (nee Magnan) at the age of 92.

She is survived by her husband Lionel, son Yves (Chérie), grandchildren Jude, Doriane and Caroline and her sister Berthe Rémillard (Yves).

Gisèle was predeceased by her parents Rémi (Clothide), brothers Marius, Zéphirin, Edouard, Gerard, Gonzague, Joseph, sisters Angeline, Agathe and Odile.

She was born on September 17, 1932, in Ste. Anne, she chose a career in nursing LPN following training in Ste. Pink. She took care of many people during that career in Winnipeg and Ste. Anne. She married Lionel in 1973. Following the birth of her son, she left her career and went on to help her husband on the farm. She was known for her desserts, jams and preserves.

Born with scoliosis, she received an operation in 1999 to straighten her back. In 2014, for health reasons, she had to get the rods removed.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 11:00 am, at St. Viateur Parish Church, Otterburne, MB.
