It is with deep sadness, after a courageous four-year battle with cancer, my beloved Marvin went Home to be with Jesus, on Friday, December 27, 2024.
Marvin was a devoted and loving husband, brother, uncle, and friend. He had a heart of compassion. He was a kind, gentle, and humble man. He loved his Tim’s coffee, sitting around a nice fire, watching movies, and being at home with Sherry.
He loved his job at Helping Hands in Steinbach. Through all his medical struggles, he was still able to do his job up until the day of his passing.
Marvin was predeceased by his father David Plett, mother Margaret Orchyk, brother Darren Orchyk, and his Reimer grandparents.
He is survived by his wife Sherry of 11 years, sister Roma, sister-in-law Diane Orchyk, parents-in-law Bill & Amalia Krasniuk, brother-in-law Sheldon (Edith), nieces and nephews, and special uncle Paul & aunt Jess.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that day, and not to me only but also to all who love HIS appearing. ~ 2 Timothy 4:7-8
