Obituary

On the morning of December 29, 2024, Elliott Josiah Bueckert slipped peacefully into Heaven with his loving and devoted parents and brother by his side.

Elliott was born on November 26, 2019, to Karl and Tracey Bueckert of Vita, Manitoba and welcomed home by his older brother Myles.

From the very start, Elliott was a twinkle eyed, spunky, curious and sweet little boy. His inquisitive mind embraced learning and navigating the world around him, often with protective brother Myles, just a few steps behind him.

Elliott was always paying attention even when he looked like he wasn’t. He picked up on learning number and letter recognition and was happy to share his new knowledge on Wednesdays at Gramma’s house.

Elliott loved drums! It didn’t matter if he was playing on a homemade set of household container drums or a set that looked like the real deal. He loved to spend hours sharing his drum solos with anyone who would listen.

The outdoors is where Elliott was happiest. He marveled at the snow. He noticed every bird and critter and loved to explore. Frogs and caterpillars, worms and bugs were fascinating to him.

Elliott was drawn to puddles like a magnet. He could hardly resist jumping and splashing in them. Even when he wasn’t feeling well, he found joy in tossing rocks into water. Elliott sure knew how to make a splash and the ripples he’s left behind to be seen and felt will have a long-lasting effect on us all.

In September 2023, Elliott was diagnosed with childhood cancer. Embracing their faith and drawing on God’s strength, Elliott and his family began this most difficult journey. He won the hearts of many around him and went into his battle with an army of prayer warriors behind him and his family always by his side.

On December 2, 2024, with the love and support of his family, Elliott invited Jesus to live in his heart. He is now safe in the arms of Jesus.

Gone before him are Elliott’s Grandpa Ben Bueckert and his Uncle George Constant (Janice), and Uncle Jonathan (infancy).

Left behind to love and cherish Elliott’s memory, with his parents and brother are his grandparents Albert and Agatha Cure, Betty Bueckert and great grandma Mary Elias. Aunts and Uncles Kelvin Bueckert, Charlene and Peter Constant, Janice Constant, Chris and Claudia Cure, Jenn and Jeff Kehler, Jessy and Jeremy Harder, Kasey and Buddy Webster, David Murdock. As well as many cousins, extended family members and friends.
