Obituary

Larry Kevin Davie, son of Cliff and Anne Davie, passed away unexpectedly, entering into the presence of His Saviour Jesus Christ on the morning of Tuesday, January 7, 2025.

Leaving to grieve his earthly departure are his parents, his sister Linda (Paul), his four children, Kelsey (Kevin) and their children (Jacob, Landyn, Lexie and Meredith), Andrew (Ashli), Samantha and Kirsten (Andrew), as well as his children’s mother Peggy.

Larry was born on April 22, 1964. His family moved frequently throughout western Canada when he was a young boy, finally settling in Winnipeg at the age of nine. Along with his family, he attended East Kildonan Baptist Church.

Larry graduated from Miles Macdonell Collegiate in 1981. He attended Millar College of the Bible the following year. Health issues prevented him from participating in active sports as others his age did.

For years he worked as a driver for Interstate Batteries. His career eventually led him to working as a driver delivering construction materials. It was discovered that he needed open-heart surgery, which led him having to find work that was less physically demanding. In time, he began driving a School Bus for First Student. Larry loved that job and had a great relationship with his bus riders. He filled his day by working in the bus yard between bus runs. His hard work was greatly appreciated by management.

There were many things in life that Larry enjoyed, including dogs, nature and playing the piano (he received his Grade 8 diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music in 1983).

Larry is now forever with Jesus in Heaven, where there are no more health issues, no more sorrow and no more tears. Knowing this provides great comfort even in this time of grief.
