Peacefully Raymond Anderson passed away February 3, 2025 at the Red River Valley Lodge in Morris, Manitoba at the age of 95 years.
Raymond was born on April 14, 1929 to Harry H. and Hazel Lewis Anderson. He was predeceased by his parents and half brother Frances Anderson, half sister Doreen Norris.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and friend and partner Vivian Clubb.
Raymond was born on the family farm in Lowe Farm area where he remained until he moved to Morris.
Raymond was a quiet gentle, man whose greatest passion was antiques and finding the “rare” find at garage sales and auctions. He was exceptionally knowledgeable in the difference between fake and the “true” genuine antique.
He enjoyed purchasing and restoring antique vehicles. One vehicle he purchased and lovingly restored was a 1925 Hudson Bay Delivery truck which he then later sold at auction.
When Raymond moved to Morris off the farm he purchased a small engine repair shop which was the original Morris Fire Hall and renovated it to accommodate a private museum and antique display place which he called “ETC. ETC.”
He loved when visitors would drop by and he could reminisce about the articles he had there.
Raymond enjoyed living in Morris and meeting his buddies for coffee every day.
He will be sorely missed. In accordance with his wishes there will be no viewing or formal service. A celebration of Raymond’s life will take place privately at a later date.
