With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Pauline Georgette Lansard on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB., after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 47 years old. Her final days were filled with love, surrounded by family and cared for by the compassionate staff at Bethesda Hospital, to whom we extend our deepest gratitude.
Pauline was born at St. Boniface Hospital and grew up in Ste. Geneviève before settling in Ste. Anne, Manitoba, where she built a beautiful life centered around family, friendship, and community. A devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Pauline’s love knew no bounds. Her greatest joy was her children, Zachary and Jazmine, who were the center of her world. She dedicated herself to ensuring they had every opportunity to succeed, always cheering them on in all their pursuits.
Known as the ultimate hockey, cheer, and sports mom, Pauline was a constant presence on the sidelines, offering unwavering support and encouragement. She was also a passionate athlete herself, with baseball being one of her favorite pastimes. Her enthusiasm, dedication, and kindness left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
For 24 years, Pauline worked at Great-West Life/Canada Life, where she built many cherished friendships. Her warmth, work ethic, and generosity of spirit made her a beloved colleague.
Pauline leaves behind her loving husband of over 18 years, Kevin, and her beloved children, Zachary and Jazmine. She is also deeply missed by her parents, Edmond and Lorraine Lessard, and her sisters, Leona Serceau (Laurent) and their son Brandon, and Colette Lessard (Kevin) and her children Patrick (Tiffany), Eric (Elleena), and Emilie (Brayden).
She will be lovingly remembered by her parents-in-law, Leo-Paul and Rachel, her sisters-in-law, Jolene (Rodi) and Jennifer (Rob), and her nieces and nephews: Jessica (Ryan), Ashley, Janelle, Alexis, Savannah, McKenna, Paisley, Marie, Will, and Tyler. Pauline’s love for her family was endless, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A livestreamed Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach, MB.
