Obituary

At approximately 12:50 a.m. on Monday morning, July 10, 2017, Larry Peters, 65, of Mitchell, died – a tender and gentle death – just like he hoped for. He did it so quietly, his friend Marlowe and his wife Marigold, who stayed with him, almost missed it.

He will be deeply missed, by so many!! First of all, his wife Marigold (Mitch), his life partner for almost 35 years. And then his immediate family. Frances (Abe), Wayne (Justina), Peter (Lynda), Marianne Fast, Ron (Elsie), Lyonel (Lorrie) 17 nieces and nephews (and spouses) and great nephews and nieces.

He will be missed by his family of in-laws – Marigold’s family – as well.

There are many close friends, whom he considered his “family”. They will be missing his voice and presence so much!

He was predeceased by his Dad and Mom, Nick and Nettie Peters and his parents-in-law, Neil and Adina Penner.

A celebration of Larry’s life will be held on Friday, July 14, 2017, at 7:00 p.m., at The Mennonite Heritage Village, Steinbach, MB.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Mennonite Heritage Village.
