Obituary

Dennis Penner, eleven days short of 51, of Gardenton, MB, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Boundary Trails, Winkler, MB.

He is survived by his wife Pat, their children: one daughter and four sons; his parents Ed & Helen; three sisters and three brothers.

Dennis was predeceased by his brother Gary and son Scott.

Dennis and Pat were married on April 23, 1988. They settled in Gardenton, MB where they raised their family. Dennis drove truck for Keystone Western.

In his spare time, he enjoyed the outdoors. Some of interests included hunting, fishing, cutting firewood, trapping, hauling scrap and cleaning up old farm sights. He also got involved in his community by being associated with Gardenton Park.

Although Dennis was a jovial and fun-loving, he could also be stern. He told bad jokes which he told to try to add some humor to the conversations. He will be greatly missed.

Viewing will take place on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB, with a devotional at 7:00 p.m.

The funeral service for Dennis will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, with viewing prior to the service. The burial will follow at Stuartburn Sommerfeld Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dennis may be made to help the family with funeral expenses.
