Obituary

Jacob Dyck, aged 83 years of Grunthal, MB., passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at the Menno Home, Grunthal, MB.

He is survived by his wife Nadia of 61 years, and their three daughters: Olga (Paul), Linda (Den), Maryann (Marc); one son Jack; as well as grandchildren: Melissa, Gordon (Beckie), Ryan (Sara), Jenna (Chris), Bailey (Stefan), Brooklyn (Nick), Brandon, Ashlynn; and great-grandchildren: Dartanion, Jacob & Evelyn. He is also survived by his sister Tina and his brothers Ed (Anne), Henry (Anna); and many other family members and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents: Johann Jacob Dyck and Helena Braun; and nine siblings.

Dad was a member of Calvary Temple of Winnipeg where he ushered for many years. He was strong in his faith always making sure he had the chance to share Jesus with everyone. Family was very important to him and he was proud of each of them. Dad loved his career as a trucker and he could always be found tinkering in the garage or on his car.

A come and go viewing will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.

A livestreamed private family funeral service will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB., with interment to follow at Grunthal Cemetery, Grunthal, MB.

If friends so desire donations in Jacob’s memory may be made to Menno Home, Grunthal, MB.
