Obituary

With profound sadness we announce that Paule Malo passed on to the spiritual world, while at home, surrounded by family.

Paule was predeceased by her life partner Dave Penner, her son Keith Lafantaisie, her parents Marguerite and Ovila Malo and brothers Hervé and Henri.

Survived by her children, David, Lisa, François, Arlana, her grand-children Kozzy, Kayla and Kaya, great-grandson Weston, and her siblings Reynalde, Victor, Yvette (Joe), Lévis (Luce), Richard, Marcie, Léo.

Growing up in St. Malo, Manitoba Paule enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, making music, going to the beach and attending church.

In adulthood Paule married Raynald Lafantaisie and had three children, David, Keith and Lisa. They would go camping with their extended families and often Paule would take her boys and nephews out on adventures. She would take care of her father-in-law and that is when she realized her life’s passion; to take care of our elders.

After the divorce and dedicating a few years to self-reflection, Paule met Dave Penner and they fell in love. Together they had their son François.

Paule worked as a home care aide until retirement and she brought love and dedication to her vocation. She made many members of her local community feel cared for and cherished. Paule realized her dream.

Paule was the most gentle, loving soul. She would make home-cooked meals that would warm our hearts. She loved taking her kids out to go swimming, rent movies, hang out together and she ensured that her kids ate to their hearts content.

Paule would allow her kids freedoms within reason and she would accept their mistakes with grace.

Feeling loved unconditionally is a gift that Paule bestowed upon everyone who was blessed to know her.

Mom, we will always miss you and we will follow your example. You were an angel on earth and now you are an angel all around us.

The private family funeral service, by invite only will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 12:00 p.m.
