Obituary

Mom passed away peacefully, with family by her side, on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the age of 90.

She leaves to mourn: three daughters: Elizabeth Wiebe of Steinbach, Patsy (Geric) Penner of Sarto, Hilda (Jason) Northage of Winnipeg; six sons: John (Linda) of Calgary, Dick (Diane) of Ste. Anne, Abe of Grunthal, Neil (Margarette) of Anola, Pat of Calgary, Larry (Trish) of Calgary; 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four brothers: Henry (Irma) Ginter of BC, Isaac (Karen) Ginter of Winnipeg, Dave (Nellie) Ginter of Steinbach, and Corrnie (Susie) Ginter of Steinbach; one sister Lisa Martens of Steinbach and one sister-in-law Rosa Ginter of Winnipeg; their families and many nephews and nieces.

Anne was predeceased by her husband David F. Krause, three sons and one daughter (Mary on January 12, 2018). She was also predeceased by her parents Diedrich D. & Maria Ginter; four brothers; two sisters and two brothers-in-law.

Mom was born in the R. M. of Hanover, MB on February 25, 1927 (one in a family of 11 siblings). She was blessed with 13 children of her own, who she loved with all her heart. Although things were tough, Mom did the best she could, with what little we had. Clean clothes and fresh bread were always at the top of her list.

We, the family, wish to thank everyone at Bethesda Place Personal Care Home for caring for our mother for over eight years.

Thanks to Chaplain Larry Hirst for comforting Mom with many many visits. Also, we would like to thank all of you, who gave cards, prayers and support at this time.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB, with a viewing prior to the service. The burial will follow at the Heritage Cemetery, Steinbach, MB.
