Brian Fuller passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at the age of 77, following a brief battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife Agatha, daughter Michelle (Brian) Novak and their children Jesse (Rachel), Chloe & Kruise and his great-grandchildren Bennett and Brynnley.
He was predeceased by his father Bernie, his mother Victoria, a sibling in infancy and his step-mother, Jean.
Brian grew up in Winnipeg, MB, and began a long, fulfilling career as a firefighter in February of 1968 for 32 years. During that time he was promoted to Lieutenant in 1994, then to Captain in 1996. He retired in January of 2000 from a career with which he was very proud.
Brian looked forward to his annual fishing trips with his buddies Norm, Gord & Hector. These age old friendships meant the world to him.
For several years there were annual winter vacations to Mexico, Dominican Republic and Cuba with his wife and friends where many memories were made.
Brian always had a clever joke and a good story to tell his grandchildren and will be missed dearly.
As per Brian’s request, cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB, with a burial to follow at Grunthal Cemetery, Grunthal, MB.
Many thanks to Dr. Barnard, Dr. Gosselin and the nurses for the special care that was given at De Salaberry District Health Centre in St. Pierre, MB.
