Mom had a passion for travelling. When she was younger, she was able to see the Coast of Vancouver to the Coast of Nova Scotia. Mom and Nanny took a trip to Nova Scotia and tented all the way. She loved to go on camping trips with friends and enjoyed fishing. She caught the biggest 30-inch catfish that she spoke of often. She enjoyed making knitted blankets for grandchildren and loved to crochet.
Mom enjoyed painting, drawing, coloring and making jewelry. She really enjoyed playing card games with her friends.
Mom enjoyed the outdoors and loved to admire planted flowers and blooming trees in Springtime.
Mom was a volunteer at the Vita resource council and became President. She was a great public speaker which helped her sell a lot of Alouette. Mom was a hard worker and helped as much as she was able to for things that she believed in.
One of mom’s biggest accomplishments was that she went back to school and became a health care aide later in life. Her desire to help the elderly community gave her great fulfilment.
At this time, we would like to express our deepest appreciation to Southeast Home Care for taking excellent care of our mother, sister and close friend.
The funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB., with viewing one hour prior to service. The burial will take place at the Sandilands Cemetery, Sandilands, MB.
