Obituary

Alexandria Traverse – Packo passed away suddenly at her residence at the age of 18. Alex was blessedly given to her parents Dave and Carol Peters at the age of 3. She is survived by her birth mother, Farrah Traverse and her birth father Anthony Packo, along with grandmothers, grandfathers, numerous uncles, aunties, and cousins. Her parents Dave and Carol Peters, siblings sister Kelsey Peters (Malcolm) , brothers, Xander, Trey, and Mark and her most beloved daughter, Amara. As well as grandparents, Dora Hildebrand, John and Betty Peters, numerous aunts and uncles, cousins and friends. She is predeceased by one sister Tasheena, cousin Karmen, cousin Jamie and grandfathers, Ed Klassen, Ken Hildebrand and Jacob Peters.

Alex from a young girl on was always very creative, always playing together with her siblings. She would love to create little shows with characters and record them, dress up, and make videos and build stuff. She loved the outdoors, riding bikes, driving quads, going to the cabin and tubing.

Alex attended Steinbach schools, Woodlawn, Elmdale, Southwood, Stonybrook Middle and S.R.S.S. where she made numerous friends along the way. Alex attended Bird river Bible camp for many summers. She knew her relationship with God was important and she was very open about it and never ashamed. She always had a fighting spirit to do better and be better to see the path she needed to be on and fought so hard to get there right to the very end of her time. Together with her praying family and Christian mentors. Alex was ready to follow whatever path God was laying out for her and even spoke of it to her mother the day of her passing. Little did she know or her family know her path she had said she could see clearly now was a path that led her right to Heavens Gate that same day. Alex wanted to pave a new way for her daughter and would want all her family and loved ones to support Amara in prayer and blessings as she continues this journey of life without her.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the paramedics that came to Alex’s call, the staff at Steinbach Bethesda Hospital, local RCMP, to Rob and his team at Crossings and his extraordinary efforts during this time of loss.
