Obituary

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and Pepere, Roger Andre Larocque, on Tuesday, August 13th, 2024, at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Dad was born on April 15th,1957, in Winnipeg, and was raised in Richer Manitoba. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 46 years Judy; his son Roger Jr (Karen) & his daughter Aimee (Ray) along with his six beautiful grandchildren – Madison, Landon, Myla, Liam, Lexi & Logan. He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Gerry, Danny, Norman (Michelle), Debbie, Andy (Karen), Marc & Jacquie (Jason) as well as 19 nieces & nephews.

Dad was predeceased by his parents Andre & Lorette Larocque, his brother Guy, his niece Angel and his grandson Luke Colton.

Dad spent 51 years as a professional class 1 driver. Hauling various commodities including pulp, gravel, general freight, overseas containers, tankers and finishing his career driving bus. His work ethic was unmatched, always going above and beyond.

His passion was trucks, but his biggest passion was his family. Dad spent his evenings and weekends cheering on his children in the rink, from hockey to figure skating and ringette. He was well known and loved within the hockey community. This passion carried over with his grandchildren. He loved cheering them on from the stands whether it was hockey, ringette, club volleyball, music concerts or soccer. He was their #1 fan!

The memorial service will be held in honor of Dad on Saturday, September 7th, 2024, at 1:00 p,m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, Manitoba. A private family interment will follow at a later date.

A heartfelt Thank You to all the staff at CancerCare Manitoba as well as the Doctors & Nurses at St Boniface Emergency for their care and compassion.
