It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Kirby Joseph House, aged 60 years, of Steinbach, MB., on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, as a result of a heart attack.
Kirby leaves behind his wife, Donna (Reddekop) of forty years, their two children; Adam (Kelly) House, and Kandice (Salvatore) Signorino, six grandchildren: Adia, Peyton, London, Alexander, Norah, and Abigail; his father Kenneth House and sister Lynn House. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law; Kevin Pahl, Jon and Danita Quiring, Grayson and Agatha Reddekop, Tanya and Tyson Neufeld as well as many nieces, nephews and their families.
Kirby was predeceased by his mother Arlene (Arbuckle) House, sister Debbie (Pahl) House and great-grandson Theodore.
Kirby was born on November 30, 1963, in Winnipeg, MB. He spent his early years living in Newdale, MB., until the family moved to Vancouver, BC., in his early teens.
Kirby had a passion for hunting, fishing and trapping until his chronic back pain made him give it up. Kirby enjoyed many hobbies over the years; taxidermy, r.c. cars and planes, reloading ammunition, many aquariums, video gaming, 3D printing and most recently creating beautiful creations with his laser engraver and target shooting with family. The last couple of years he began knife sharpening and eventually began setting up at markets. He thrived on reconnecting with the public and making new friends in this setting.
The livestreamed memorial service will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.
The family wants to say a huge thank you for the overwhelming love and show of support that we are experiencing.
