Obituary

Three months after celebrating her 100th birthday in grand style, Della Fast passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024 at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB. We are thankful for the example of her well-lived life, knowing she is now at Home with her Heavenly Father.

She is lovingly remembered by her children and grandchildren: Donna (Jim), Eric (Kascha), Logan; Arlene (Ben), Douglas (Jill); Morley (Beverley), Michael (Melanie), Nancy Rae (Derek), Wendy (Roger), Mark (Jaclyn), Heidi (John); Russell (Dianne), Ariana (Ryan), Samuel and 16 great-grandchildren.

Della was predeceased by her loving husband Elvin Fast, her parents Anton and Sadie Funk, and her siblings Trudy, Alvin, Gladys, and Eddie.

Della stayed in the home she loved at Bridgepark Manor until the day before she died. Thankfully, our Mom was not ill, she simply aged beautifully. She was a gracious and elegant woman, who made each person in her life feel special and loved.

We’re so thankful to the staff at Bridgepark Manor who created a loving community and truly cared for her. To the kind and gentle Home Care workers who served her for so many years, you made a significant impact. Our family is sincerely grateful!

The memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at 2:00 p.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.
