Obituary

We, the Rempel family, wish to announce the passing of our brother, Peter H. Rempel of Steinbach, MB., on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the age of 81 years. He was born on October 15, 1943.

Peter is survived by his siblings, Abe (Susan), Mary (Clifford) Brandt, Henry (Viola), Bettie (Jake) Broesky, Helen (John) Friesen, Anne (Albert) Friesen and Margaret. He is also survived by Susan’s second husband, John Sawatzky as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

Peter was predeceased by his parents Diedrich and Elizabeth Rempel, his sister Susan and her first husband, Fred Schultz.

Those who knew him will remember him as a quiet, generous and dependable man.

The livestreamed memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.
