Obituary

Barbara Amero, aged 62 years, of Steinbach, MB., passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at 5:43 a.m., at Bethesda Regional Health Centre, Steinbach, MB.

She is survived by her mother Mary Liz Loewen, two sisters Jeannette Smith and Sheila Loewen, two brothers Mike Loewen and Daniel Witmer and their families.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband Richard Amero and father Percy Rae Loewen.

Barb was born in St. Pierre, MB., on May 13, 1962 and was the second child of Mary Liz and Percy Rae Loewen.

She was quick to learn in the kitchen and liked arts and crafts.

She got married to Richard Amero and was a good stepmother to his four boys, Derek, Richie, Don and James.

From a young age she struggled with health problems. She was a Daddy’s girl, she wouldn’t drink milk with out her Daddy putting sugar in it.

In 2016, Barb moved to Steinbach after her husband passed away.

Barb was baptized and became a member of the Steinbach E.M.C on main Street.

The memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.
