Roland was an extremely hard worker, with an amazing work ethic. From a young age on, he took the lead in maintaining the family farm. As a proud man of his Metis heritage, he loved gardening and farming. When he was not at work, his family was his main focus, he loved his kids and spoke of them often. Roland had a reserved character, however when someone was in need, they knew they could call on him and he would be there to help in anyway possible. Roland was a skilled welder, and always had a project on the go. When Roland wasn’t working he had a deep interest in music, playing his accordion, and guitar, debating politics and cheering on his beloved Winnipeg Jets.
According to Roland’s wishes cremation will take place and a private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
