Arroz Valenciana (Bringhe)

Ingredients
1/2 lb
chicken thigh / breast, boiled and chopped
150 g
chorizo or hot dog, sliced diagonally
2 1/2 c
lutinous rice, washed and drained
1
medium red bell pepper, cut into strips
1
medium carrot, cut into strips
3
cloves garlic, diced, or crushed
1/2 c
butter or margarine
Directions
- Sauté onion and garlic into melted butter or margarine.
- Put in chopped chicken meat, then add chicken broth, coconut milk and turmeric powder. Mix well.
- Put in chorizo, or hot dog then add salt to taste.
- Put in glutinous rice. Mix well. Simmer for 3 minutes.
- Put in carrots, green peas and red bell pepper. Mix well.
- Cover with banana leaves and cook in low heat until the rice is fully cooked
